Over 23,000 real estate transactions in Armenia in December, monthly decline

YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. In December 2024, 23,103 real estate transactions were made in Armenia, compared to 21,668 transactions in December 2023 and 22,030 transactions in November 2024, according to data from the National Statistical Committee.
The highest number of transactions in the reporting month occurred in Yerevan – 7,006 (30.3% of the total), while the fewest took place in Vayots Dzor – 404 (1.7%). Other regions included Kotayk with 3,896 transactions (16.9%), Ararat with 1,957 (8.5%), Gegharkunik with 1,888 (8.2%), Armavir with 1,870 (8.1%), Lori with 1,491 (6.5%), Aragatsotn with 1,445 (6.1%), Tavush with 1,173 (5.1%), Syunik with 1,060 (4.6%), and Shirak with 913 (4%).
The majority of transactions were real estate alienations, totaling 8,406 (36.4% of the total), including 5,909 purchases and sales, 2,113 donations, and 42 exchanges. Additionally, 4,222 inheritance transactions (18.3%), 3,631 pledge transactions (15.7%), 3,536 primary registrations (15.3%), 1,971 re-registrations (8.5%), 1,040 leases (4.5%), and 297 legalization transactions (1.3%) were completed.
Of the total transactions in December, the largest number were land transactions – 8,988 (38.9%). There were also 5,791 transactions with apartments in multi-apartment buildings (25.1%), 4,746 with residential buildings (20.5%), 2,041 with public buildings (8.8%), 1,053 with garages (4.6%), and 484 with industrial buildings (2.1%).
