YEREVAN, June 9. /ARKA/. The project package for the 11th station of the Yerevan metro "Ajapnyak" has already received a positive conclusion from the comprehensive state examination, Mayor Tigran Avinyan said.

"This means that the next stage of construction is starting," Avinyan wrote on social networks.

According to him, the following is planned for the near future: approval of financing by the Armenian government, alienation and resettlement work in the zone of influence, preparation of a tender for construction.

"The process of project implementation and further steps were discussed with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company "Metrogiprotrans" Valery Abramson," the mayor noted.

About the Ajapnyak metro station

Earlier it was reported that the total cost of the Ajapnyak metro station construction program was estimated at approximately $50 million.

The Armenian government allocated 750 million drams for the design work, and another 554 million drams were allocated by the capital's mayor's office. The design and estimate documentation for the station was developed by the winning tender company "Metrogiprotrans" (Russia).

Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated that the developer of the Ajapnyak metro station will be determined by the end of 2025, and construction will begin in 2026.

The Yerevan Metro named after Karen Demirchyan was founded in 1981. Currently, there are 10 metro stations in Yerevan. The total length of all metro lines is 13.4 km.
