YEREVAN, September 30. /ARKA/. Proshyan Brandy Factory LLC plans to purchase more than 32,000 tons of grapes during the current season, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy reports.

On September 29, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan visited the company's grape procurement center in Artashat to inspect the process and discuss issues arising on-site. The Minister was accompanied by his deputy, Arman Khojoyan.

Grape procurement is currently in full swing. According to the Ministry of Economy, approximately 13,000 tons of grapes have already been purchased across all the company's branches.

The purchase price averages 140 drams per kilogram, with a daily procurement volume of around 1,500 tons.

The Ministry of Economy noted that the grape procurement process is proceeding smoothly and in an organized manner.

About the factory

Proshyan Brandy Factory LLC is a major Armenian producer of alcoholic beverages; its product range includes brandy, vodka, wines, and sparkling wines.

The company has been operating since 1995, when Armen Gasparyan and Eduard Chobanyan acquired a small Soviet-era plant and established the current enterprise based on it.

The company has been exporting its products since the early 2000s. A production facility was opened in Artashat in 2006, and another in Armavir in 2011, intended for purposes including grape procurement, the storage of cognac spirits, and wine production.
