Armenia’s PSRC Updates Requirements for Publishing Power Factor Data in the Power System
YEREVAN, September 30. /ARKA/. The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia has established new requirements for publishing information on permissible power factor ranges within the electric power system, the regulator's press service reports.

Under a decision adopted by the regulator on Wednesday, the "Electric Power System Operator" CJSC is required to publish information regarding permissible power factor ranges on its official website by December 1, 2026.

These requirements apply to the points of demarcation within the power system where distribution companies and qualified consumers must ensure that the electrical installations under their control operate within the established power factor ranges.

According to the PSRC, these changes aim to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power system and to provide clearer regulation of the relationships between the system operator and electricity market participants engaged in licensed activities.
