YEREVAN, July 11. /ARKA/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov suggested that Armenia host the autumn Innoprom 2024 industrial exhibition.
Meeting in Russian Yekaterinburg on the sidelines of the Industrial Policy Council gathering industry ministers from the five Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries discussed the launch of a new system of financing joint industrial projects.
"After ratification of the amendments to the EEU Treaty signed by the leaders of our countries in May, the Eurasian Economic Commission received new powers to finance multilateral industry projects from the EEU budget," said Artak Kamalyan, Eurasian Economic Commission Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture.
According to him, the EEC together with the relevant ministries of the EEU member states is currently developing a mechanism of financial assistance to industrial cooperation in a bid to help accelerate the technological development of member states.
Kamalyan also spoke about the progress made in the preparation of new strategic approaches to the development of industry until 2030.
The main goal of industrial cooperation from 2025 to 2030 will be the formation of a strategic vector and conditions for the synchronization of the implementation of industrial interests of the EEU states, which is necessary for a timely response to global challenges.
"Six directions will be prioritized. They are human resources, exports, technology and ecologization of production, as well as resources, finance and sectoral development. Each direction has an average of five instruments of industrial cooperation," Kamalyan explained.
According to him, a new financing mechanism will be used in the implementation of the projects. Joint work in all directions will be connected with the achievement of clear indicators, such as the volume of industrial production, mutual trade, index of industrial cooperation and others.
