The volume of construction work in Armenia for January-May 2026 amounted to 207,336.6 million drams at current prices, an increase of 24.1% compared to January-May 2025.
YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. The volume of construction work in Armenia for January-May 2026 amounted to 207,336.6 million drams at current prices, an increase of 24.1% compared to January-May 2025. The Statistical Committee of the Republic reports this.
At the same time, in May the volume of construction amounted to 62,687.5 million drams, which is 27.1% more than in May 2025.
The largest volume of construction for 5 months of the current year was financed from the funds of organizations - 108,062.7 million drams, or 52.1% of the total volume. Compared to January-May 2025, the figure increased by 27.6%.
The volume of construction at the expense of the population amounted to 52,671.0 million drams - 25.4% of the total volume, an increase of 16.6%. The state budget financed construction for 36,427.6 million drams - 17.6% of the total, which is 15.3% more than a year earlier. The volume of work at the expense of community funds reached 9,482.5 million drams - 4.6% of the total volume, an increase of 80.1%, and at the expense of humanitarian aid - 692.8 million drams, or 0.3%, with an increase of 2.1 times.
At the same time, the volume of construction using international loans in January-May amounted to 3,946.4 million drams, or 1.9% of the total volume, decreasing by 58.8% compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development accounted for 1,470.5 million drams, the Asian Development Bank - 1,305.4 million drams, the German Development Bank - 407.1 million drams, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - 276.3 million drams, the European Investment Bank - 257.7 million drams, the World Bank - 187.7 million drams, and for other structures - 41.7 million drams.

This is followed by education - 24,695.2 million drams, or 11.9%, as well as the provision of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - 16,126.1 million drams, or 7.8%.
