CE Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg, who came to Armenia to see how the country’s authorities comply with PACE demands, said at a press conference on Tuesday that the investigation into March events must be transparent and independent.

Hammarberg said public confidence in the scrutiny must be ensured. He said his task is to provide consultative support.
The human rights commissioner said this matter has not settled yet, because he can’t invite foreign experts, if he is not sure that the investigation deserves trust.-0----
