At its session yesterday, the CE Parliamentary Assembly discussed and approved the Armenian delegation’s report on poverty feminization.
YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. At its session yesterday, the CE Parliamentary Assembly discussed and approved the Armenian delegation’s report on poverty feminization.

The public relations department, RA Parliament, reports that the report of women’s socio-economic situation read out by the Parliament member Hermine Naghdalyan indicates that women are the most vulnerable part of the population.

From the social point of view, increase in employment is the most acceptable and economically sound way of reducing poverty, says the reform.

It contains proposals concerning tourism, social aid, pension system, healthcare and education, which are of conceptual importance for poverty reduction among women in the world.

This is Armenia’s first report made at PACE’s session since it joined the CE Parliamentary Assembly.

The PACE summer session was opened on Monday to last until June 29, 2007. P.T. –0—
