Armenia’s Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan intends to make an official visit to France in near future, тhe RA Government’s press service reported.
YEREVAN, July 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan intends to make an official visit to France in near future.
The RA Government’s press service reported that during his meeting with Armenian Premier, French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smessov said that at present Paris conducts work on organizing the visit.
The sides discussed the project of bilateral cooperation in a number of spheres, highly estimating the level of Armenian-French relations.
Sargsyan and Smessov pointed out the exceptional significance of holding Armenia’s Year in france as this project points out that specific character of Armenian-French relations and gives a possibility in a worthy way to present Armenia’s centuries-old history, culture and prospects to France.
During the visit the processes in the world politics and process of peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict were discussed.
Year of Armenia in France launched on September 21, 2006 – on the Day of Armenia’s Independence and finished on July 14, 2007 – on the Bastille Day. Within the Year of Armenia over 500 cultural, economic and charitable events were organized in 120 French cities. L.M. –0—
