YEREVAN, September 28. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan accepted the participants of the annual meeting of Foreign Ministry’s central staff and heads of diplomatic representations and the country’s consular establishments abroad.
“During the meeting the Premier pointed out that after the successful parliamentary elections, there were good possibilities to introduce Armenia abroad in its best way and create profitable terms for the country,” the press service of the RA Government’s public relations department told ARKA.
In this connection he pointed out the importance of activating the work of the diplomatic body.
He pointed out that diplomats should pay attention to two main tasks – activation of work protecting interests of Armenia’s citizens and Armenian foreign companies and target activity in economic sector.
He noted the necessity of presenting certain programs and new initiatives by Embassies.
“One of the important conditions of Armenia’s economic development is the introduction of world big companies to the country’s economy, that bring their wide experience to various sectors, open new vacancies and can contribute to the growth of interest towards Armenia in their countries,” he said.
He added that the Government does everything to create favorable conditions for the work of diplomatic representations of Armenia abroad.
According to the Premier, almost all the suggestions made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are taken into consideration and reflected in the draft of the country’s state budget in 2008, and in connection with this, the Government has big expectations from the diplomatic work.
“Of course, all problems cannot be solved at once, however, priority tasks will be solved simultaneously with the economic growth,” he said. –0--
