Armenia is not inclined to considering the Kosovo precedent as an ideal option for settlement of all the conflicts, Vice-Speaker of Armenian Parliament Vahan Hovhannisian told journalists.
YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. Armenia is not inclined to considering the Kosovo precedent as an ideal option for settlement of all the conflicts, member of Bureau of Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutiun (ARFD) party, Vice-Speaker of Armenian Parliament Vahan Hovhannisian told journalists in commenting the statement made by CE Secretary General Thierry Davis yesterday.
“It is not news for us that Europe is not eager to consider Kosovo as a precedent, but we never said that Kosovo precedent is an ideal option for everyone,” Hovhannisian said.
He pointed out that any conflict has its unique history and phases of development and, naturally, solutions may be non-typical.
“At the same time, when a precedent comes up, somehow it becomes a precedent regardless of the wishes of different people; it is not necessarily to be an absolute precedent, but many elements of that precedent will be used,” Hovhannisisan said.
