YEREVAN, June 12. /ARKA/. Plural views on the Karabakh problem in Armenia’s society may be beneficial for the settlement of the conflict, stated Director of the Caucasian Institute of Mass Media Alexander Iskandaryan.
“Internal disagreements is a sign of strength, maturity and potential for resolving problems,” Iskandaryan stated during a Yerevan-Baku –Moscow space bridge.
According to him, plural view on the issue in Armenia’s society tells on both Armenia’s political life and expert community.
“I personally have a dozen points I disagree over with many experts irrespective of their nationality,” he said.
In this context, Iskandaryan pointed out that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is impossible to settle as long as the conflicting parties accuse each other of disagreeing over certain issues.
“When this fact is clearly indicated, everyone will see it, and there will be no need for any experts or political scientists,” Iskandaryan said.
Since 1992, negotiations for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have been held within the OSCE Minsk Group co-chaired by the USA, Russia and France. –0--
