YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Armenia has established contacts with the new authorities of Syria, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"Following recent events in Syria, Armenia's embassy and consulate general were briefly closed. The diplomatic missions in Damascus and Aleppo resumed their operations in December. Contacts have now been established with the new Syrian authorities. We will continue our work," Mirzoyan said during a press conference.
