YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. The international human rights organization Freedom House has published its annual report, Freedom in the World 2025, in which Armenia is listed as one of the "partly free countries."

According to the report, Armenia scored 54 points out of 100 possible (maintaining its position compared to last year's report). In the "Political Rights" section, the country earned 23 points out of 40, and in the "Civil Liberties" section, it scored 31 points out of 60.

Among Armenia's regional neighbors, only Georgia was included in the "partly free countries" list (with 55 points), while Azerbaijan (7), Iran (11), and Turkey (33) were classified as "not free countries."

The Freedom House report assesses the situation in 195 countries and 13 territories. For each country (or territory), the report analyzes the electoral process, political pluralism and participation, government performance, freedom of expression and belief, the rights to association and organization, the rule of law, personal autonomy, and individual rights.

In this year's report, 85 countries and 1 territory are considered "free," 51 countries and 4 territories are "partly free," and 59 countries and 8 territories are classified as "not free." The report notes that political rights and civil liberties have deteriorated in 60 countries, while they have improved in only 34.
