Armenia developing National Security Strategy - Pashinyan
YEREVAN, 13 June. /ARKA/. The government has started developing a National Security Strategy, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Wednesday.
"We have already started developing the strategy, but its finalisation is hindered by the constantly changing situation in the world," Pashinyan said during a government Q&A session in the parliament.
According to him, an expert group has been set up to address the issue.
"If the situation changes dramatically after the strategy is adopted, it would lose its relevance. Even the world leaders, with whom I keep in touch, are not able to accurately predict the future," he added.
Besides, the Prime Minister pointed to the lack of concrete answers to important questions. In particular, whether Armenia should be a non-aligned country.
"It seems to be a simple question, but I explicitly state that I do not have an unambiguous answer for today," Pashinyan said. --0--
