YEREVAN, March 17. /ARKA/. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's report alleging that on March 17 from 01։25 to 12։55 Armenian armed forces opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern parts of the border zone does not correspond to reality, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

The ministry recalled that the Armenian Prime Minister's Office had earlier proposed to create a joint mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and/or information about them, but Azerbaijan has not responded to the proposal.

“The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia confirms that it is ready to investigate the facts confirming the report of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry if they are conveyed to the Armenian side,” the ministry said in a statement.

On March 16, the Armenian Defense Ministry had denied three times Azerbaijani reports claiming that on that day around 09:45, 18:35, and from 20։10 to 20։45 Armenian troops fired at Azerbaijani positions located in the south-eastern section of the border zone. -0-
