Armenian Foreign Ministry says ready to check the accuracy of minefield maps handed over to Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, April 9. /ARКА/. Armenia, as before, is now ready to verify the accuracy of the minefield maps provided to Azerbaijan with the involvement of international experts, said Armenian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ani Badalyan.
"Stressing the importance of resolving humanitarian issues, on June 12, July 3, October 19, November 1 and November 29, 2021, Armenia unilaterally and without any preconditions handed over 972 minefield registration maps to Azerbaijan. Moreover, continuing to follow the principles of cooperation on humanitarian issues, Armenia formed and handed over new minefield maps to Azerbaijan in early 2024," Badalyan wrote on X, referring to a media question about Baku's demands regarding minefield maps.
According to her, Azerbaijan constantly questions the accuracy of these maps, despite repeated statements by the Armenian side that "better or more accurate" maps do not exist.
“We would also like to add that the International Court of Justice has unequivocally rejected the request for the application of a provisional measure against Armenia, in which Azerbaijan accused Armenia of laying mines,” Badalyan noted.-0-
