Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Annita Demetriou, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, discussed today the development of economic ties, investment opportunities, expansion of multi-sectoral cooperation, the Armenian government press service reported.

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Annita Demetriou, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, discussed today the development of economic ties, investment opportunities, expansion of multi-sectoral cooperation, the Armenian government press service reported.

Pashinyan emphasized that Cyprus is a friendly country for Armenia, with which deep historical, cultural and value ties have been formed. In this context, the Prime Minister attached importance to the consistent development of bilateral political dialog, as well as deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Demetriou reaffirmed Cyprus' support to Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and democratic reforms.

The interlocutors also discussed a number of issues of regional and international agenda, touching upon the developments of common interest and opportunities for cooperation.

The sides exchanged views on developments related to the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and in this context the importance of establishing peace and preserving stability in the South Caucasus was emphasized. -0-
