YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/.  First Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan has already voted on the constitutional referendum.

He refrained from talking to journalists and just addressed the nation calling on citizens to go to the poll and to be independent and free from pressure in voting, since the more voters the less room  for fraud.

The constitutional reform implies transition from the current half-presidential rule to the parliamentary model.

Polling stations opened in Armenia for the constitutional referendum today at 08:00. As many as 1,997 polling stations are open all over the country. The voting will be over at 20:00.

The voter list consists of 2,550,323 people. The amendments to the Constitution will be considered adopted if more than a half of the number of the people who have voted, but no less than one quarter of the number of the people in the list cast their votes in favor of it.

More than 100 international and several thousand local observers are involved in the process. --0---
