Armenian PM discusses customs union accession agenda with Russian officials

During a one-day working visit to Moscow on Friday Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov discussed a string of issues related to Armenia's upcoming accession to the Customs Union, Armenian government press service reported, adding that the two men discussed also the status of agreements reached earlier by Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin.

YEREVAN, October 11. / ARKA /. During a one-day working visit to Moscow on Friday Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov discussed a string of issues related to Armenia's upcoming accession to the Customs Union, Armenian government press service reported, adding that the two men discussed also the status of agreements reached earlier by Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin.
The Armenian government said the parties have reached an accord on the implementation of the joint agenda.
The Russian side was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and other officials.
The Armenian delegation comprised ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan, first deputy chief of the presidential staff Vardan Aramyan , deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan , deputy economy minister Karine Minasyan, deputy finance minister Suren Karayan and other officials.
Tigran Sargsyan had a meeting also with the chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Khristenko to discuss the status of Armenia’s preparations to join the Customs Union.
The Prime Minister also visited the Armenian Cathedral in Moscow and the Armenian pavilion at the Al-Russian Exhibition Center. -0-
