Armenian president expresses support to British people

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent today a letter of condolences to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Theresa May on the terrorist explosion at the Manchester Arena which killed over two dozen people, including children, and left many wounded, Sargsyan’s press office reported.

YEREVAN, May 23, /ARKA/. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent today a letter of condolences to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Theresa May on the terrorist explosion at the Manchester Arena which killed over two dozen people, including children, and left many wounded, Sargsyan’s press office reported. 

“At this grave moment of loss, I express my support to you, the friendly people of the United Kingdom and families of the victims, wishing fortitude and resolve, and a speedy recovery to the wounded. 

Armenia strongly condemns such inhumane acts and is determined to continue through the joint efforts fight against violence and terror,” reads the letter of condolences of the president of Armenia.  

Twenty-two people have been killed and 59 injured in the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.

According to news agencies, a lone male suicide attacker set off a homemade bomb in the foyer at 22:33 BST on Monday at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande. Armed police have arrested a 23-year-old man in Chorlton, south Manchester, in connection with the attack. -0-
