YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Kamo Aghajanyan, the chief of Artsakh police, has resigned. 

He says on his Facebook page that the recent protests gave him grounds for musing and that he was anxious not only about his resignation demand, but also about the country’s interior security.

He says he has complied with the protesters’ demand and resigned to ease political tension.  

Aghajanyan said he continues attaching top-priority significance to foreign and domestic security and peaceful life of the population.   

Earlier, Artsakh State Minister resigned as well. 

On Saturday, a free-for-all broke out between citizens in Stepanakert with participation of national security officers. 
The Artsakh prosecutor general office opened a criminal case. 

According to media reports, the fighting broke out because of a domestic dispute. 

On Saturday, protests against the authorities were staged in Stepanakert, capital city of the Republic of Artsakh. On Sunday, the protesters met with Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan.  

It was decided to set up a commission to consider the problems. The commission was set up on the next day on the initiative of the lawmakers. -0---
