CSTO continues to regard Armenia as equal partner - Secretary General

YEREVAN, September 18 /ARKA/. The Collective Security Treaty Organization continues to view Armenia as an equal partner and is ready for dialogue with it on all issues, said CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov in an interview with the socio-political publication "Soyuzniki. ODKB ".

"As you know, representatives of Armenia did not take part in CSTO exercises. Nevertheless, we still consider Armenia as an equal partner, and are ready for dialogue with colleagues from Yerevan on the entire spectrum of current issues," he noted, reported TASS.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Yerevan froze its participation in the CSTO not only because the Organization "does not fulfill its defense obligations to Armenia, but also because the CSTO creates threats to the security, existence, sovereignty and statehood of Armenia." -0-
