Eight ministers in the new Cabinet of Armenia will be re-elected, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian time) newspaper reports.

YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. Eight ministers in the new Cabinet of Armenia will be re-elected, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian time) newspaper reports.
“According to some data, the following ministers will stay in the new cabinet: Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan, Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan, Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan and Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan,” according to the source.
What refers to four ministers’ portfolios of Prosperous Armenia Party, the ruling Republicans should make an official decision on their distributions, the newspaper says.
According to some speculations, the post of a Minister of Health can be given to National Assembly deputy Ara Babloyan or a rector of Yerevan State Medical University Derenik Dumanyan.
The former deputy of the parliament Viktor Dallakyan can be elected as a Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs.
According to the same sources, a member of Orinats Yerkir Party, Hovhannes Margaryan may be elected as a Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
However, some sources say that one of Orinats Yerkir members may receive a post of Minister of Urban Development rather than Social Affairs.
“It is of no doubt that a Minister’s portfolio should be given to the former Speaker of the Parliament Samvel Nikoyan who has already declared he will continue working in this professional sphere: Nikoyan is a mechanical engineer, thereby may be appointed as a Minister of Transport and Communication or Minister of Nature Protection,” the newspaper informs.
On May 31, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan accepted the resignation of the Cabinet.
On June 2 the President appointed Tigran Sargsyan as a Prime Minister of the country.
According to the Constitution of Armenia the government is formed within 20 days after a Prime Minister has been appointed. However, Tigran Sargsyan told journalists that the new Cabinet will have been formed by June 15.
On June 4, the head of government reappointed Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandyan, Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, and Defense Seyran Ohanyan.—0--
