European Council president to visit Armenia July 3-4- EU Delegation

President of European Council Herman Van Rompuy will visit Armenia on July 3-4, European Union Delegation to Armenia informs on Monday.
YEREVAN, July 2. /ARKA/. President of European Council Herman Van Rompuy will visit Armenia on July 3-4, European Union Delegation to Armenia informs on Monday.
According to the source, Rompuy will visit the South Caucasian region within July 3-5 and will start with Armenia. Later he will head to Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Rompuy is expected to meet the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan. He will also make a speech in front of the National Assembly deputies and at the forum of civil society “Armenia in Europe.”
He will also attend “Yerevan- world’s book capital” and “The 500th anniversary of Armenian book printing” exhibitions organized by UNESCO in the National gallery.
“Rompuy and the officials will discuss the relations between Armenia and the European Union, political situation within the country, and regional mutually beneficial issues,” the source states.
President of the European Council and Armenian President will also give a joint press conference. —0--
