Germany to continue supporting development in Armenia: foreign minister

Being a real friend Germany will continue supporting development in Armenia, Germany’s foreign minister Guido Vestervelle said at the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandyan in Berlin, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.

YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. Being a real friend Germany will continue supporting development in Armenia, Germany’s foreign minister Guido Vestervelle said at the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandyan in Berlin, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.

Efficient joint efforts helped form high-level bilateral cooperation, Vestervelle said.

Nalbandyan, in his turn, expressed satisfaction with intense political dialogue between the countries and strengthened ties in various fields.

The sides expressed hopes for further expansion of ties.

Nalbandyan briefed his counterpart on the recent developments in Karabakh peace process, as well as on Armenia’s and international community’s efforts towards settlement.

The sides touched upon Armenia-EU relations, cooperation in the framework of Eastern Partnership and the forthcoming summit in Vilnius.

Armenia’s foreign minister has also met with Christoph Heusgen, the counsellor of the Diplomatic Office of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The sides discussed Armenia-EU cooperation and preparations for Vilnius summit in detail and exchanged views of a number of regional issues. –0--
