YEREVAN, September 16. /ARKA/. Iran will not recognize any change of internationally recognized borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).

"Establishing peace, stability and security in the Caucasus region is very important for Iran. We have always stressed the need to respect the territorial integrity, national sovereignty and we reject any change of recognized borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia," IRNA news agency quoted Raisi as saying.

He stressed that the sides should resolve their differences through dialogue and peacefully based on international law.

"As the Islamic Republic of Iran defends its national interests and security and the region, it also declares its readiness to help resolve the differences between the two neighboring countries," the IRI president said. -0-
