Nagorno-Karabakh to host forum of Armenian political parties

Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) will address the third forum of Armenian political parties that will be hosted by Nagorno-Karabakh capital city Stepanakert on June 16-18.
YEREVAN, June 14. /ARKA/. Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) will address the third forum of Armenian political parties that will be hosted by Nagorno-Karabakh capital city Stepanakert on June 16-18.
The deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan said the first forum had been held in 2012, the second last year. He said also that the ruling party wants more political forces to attend the gathering for a wider exchange of views and ideas about Armenia’s and Nagorno-Karabakh’s further development. He said the main task of the forum in uniting various political forces around national interests without elements of political struggle.
According to him, fifteen parties from Armenia and six political forces from Nagorno-Karabakh confirmed their participation in the event.
He said the Armenian Renaissance party did not respond to the invitation, while the Armenian National Congress refused to participate.
He said among the keynote speakers are former parliament chairman Tigran Torosyan, former minister of National Security Service David Shahnazaryan, former foreign minister Alexander Arzumanyan and many others. -0-
