NATO Secretary General extremely concerned about Azerbaijan's aggression against Armenia

YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the press service of the Prime Minister informed.
Pashinyan touched upon Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against Armenia's sovereign territory on September 13, stressing that 36 settlements were shelled by the Azerbaijani armed forces, which resulted in civilian losses and casualties among the Armenian side.
Pashinyan stressed the importance of an adequate response of the international community to condemn the Azerbaijani actions and to immediately withdraw Azerbaijani troops from the sovereign territory of Armenia.
The NATO Secretary General noted that he is extremely concerned about the events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Stoltenberg stressed the need to resolve regional problems through negotiations and sustained efforts in this direction, including with the support of international partners.
The meeting included an exchange of views on various issues of mutual interest. -0-
