YEREVAN, October 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has identified the signing and ratification of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan as the most important task for the near future.
"This does not mean that we are abandoning any other agenda; rather, I have set a goal and a specific timeline for myself to reach a resolution to this issue by 2031," Pashinyan stated during a government meeting on Thursday.
According to him, "while this is, of course, a task for the government and our entire political team, I as the Prime Minister of Armenia consider it an important part of my personal agenda to resolve this issue by 2031."
"It is not as if this perspective emerged only today; I see a genuine possibility for this otherwise, I would not have voiced it in this or any other forum. In the near term, we must remain focused on this agenda," Pashinyan noted.
