Pashinyan expects free expression of will by Armenian citizens

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the Civil Contract party, stated that he will do what the Armenian people decide.
YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the Civil Contract party, stated that he will do what the Armenian people decide.
"Whatever the people decide, that's what I will do. My expectations from the elections are the free expression of will by Armenian citizens. I am confident that the citizens of Armenia will win. Democracy always works for regional and international cooperation, and democracy is a tool for peace in the region," Pashinyan noted after voting in the parliamentary elections.
About the elections
On June 7, at 8:00 a.m. local time, the regular elections to the National Assembly of the 9th convocation began in Armenia. There are 2,005 polling stations operating in the country. Voting will end at 8:00 p.m.
According to the Central Election Commission, 2,505,102 people are included in the voter registry in Armenia. There are 18 political forces - 2 blocs and 16 parties participating in the elections: Reformist Party; I Am Against All Democratic Party; Strong Armenia Bloc; Meritocratic Party of Armenia; Reformist New Force Party; Wings of Unity Party; Prosperous Armenia Party; Pan-Armenian National Democratic Pole Party; Kochari - National Revival and Awakening of the Nation Party; Armenian National Congress Party; Republic Party; Christian Democratic Party; Democratic Union Party; Democracy, Law, Order (DLO) Party; Civil Contract Party; Armenia bloc of parties; For the Republic - Defenders of Democracy Party; Bright Armenia Party.
