YEREVAN, September 22. /ARKA/. Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan suggested at a Cabinet session today that public servants be motivated.
Today, the government approved changes in the assessment of public servants performance, based on which they will receive additional remuneration.
"We do not think that this system is ideal. There is a difficult task -to fight corruption and establish good governance, as well as to solve the problem of civil servants remuneration", said Karapetyan.
He noted that at the moment he has no proposals to address the situation, stressing the need to create a system of motivation.
"We are waiting for proposals,’ he said.-0-
