The Civil Contract party of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has officially asked parliament Speaker  Alen Simonyan  to consider removing  opposition MP Taguhi Tovmasyan from Pativ Unem alliance from the post of chairperson of the parliamentary committee on protection of human rights and public affairs.

YEREVAN, July 10. /ARKA/. The Civil Contract party of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has officially asked parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan to consider removing opposition MP Taguhi Tovmasyan from Pativ Unem alliance from the post of chairperson of the parliamentary committee on protection of human rights and public affairs.

The Civil Contract party that controls 71 seats in the 107-member National Assembly said the decision to remove Taguhi Tovmasyan was made today The reason is that Tovmasyan took part in only 8 out of 46 sittings of the Parliament Council.

The ruling party also accuses Tovmasyan of failing to fulfill the duties related to the coordination of the work of the committee headed by her. Thus, according to the ruling party, she, in fact, hindered its full and organic work, as well as was often absent from the sittings of the Parliament Council.

Tovmasyan is also accused of showing indifference to expressions insulting the dignity of thousands of people pronounced at a sittings of the committee contributing by her inaction to the repetition of those insulting expressions. -0-
