YEREVAN, May 26. /ARKA/. Ensuring the security of Armenia and Artsakh (Armenian name for Karabakh) has been and will be a priority task for the next years, Armenian president and chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Serzh Sargsyan said on Saturday, at the 15th congress of the party.

‘Despite the 20 years of the truce, the war has not finished – neither for the winner nor for the defeated’, the president said. The winner is well aware of the price he paid for the victory in an imposed war, and the defeated is blind with revenge-mania that makes him lose his mind and wish to hold constructive talks, Sargsyan said.

The neighboring Azerbaijan that lost the war it imposed is destroting the reality today having launched an information war against Armenia, while spending larger and larger amounts of money for armaments.

It is no the bullet that wins, but the man, the type of the man, his convictions and belief, and which is the most important his love for freedom, the president said.

According to international assessments, Azerbaijan is building a militarized dictatorship country, inciting hate and anti-Armenian propaganda every hour and every day, Sargsyan said. But militarization leads to a deadlock, he said.

Only a society where pluralism prevails and people express their ideas freely can be viable and strong, the president noted.

‘We are building such a society”, Sargsyan said adding Armenia will continue strengthening its borders, its statehood and its society. –0—
