YEREVAN, May 23. /ARKA/. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Washington is considering several requests from Armenia.

Speaking at a hearing before the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee he said Washington is considering several requests from Armenia to determine what more it can do to strengthen support for and cooperation with Armenia. He did not elaborate.

Blinken recalled that he held a joint meeting with the head of the European Commission and Armenian Prime Minister in Brussels in early April, TASS reported.

Those consultations, according to the US diplomatic chief, were held precisely to find out what more the US and the EU "can do to support Armenia."

"And we will move forward in a number of different areas," Blinken said. The Secretary of State also expressed hope that Azerbaijan and Armenia will sign a peace treaty.-0-
