YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. The second Armenian-Belarus intergovernmental commission on military and technical cooperation was held in Yerevan, Defense Ministry of Armenia reports.

The representatives of both states’ different divisions and enterprises of military industrial complex, and the Embassy of Belarus in Armenia participated in the meeting, which was coordinated by the co-chairmen of the intergovernmental commission: Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Alik Mirzabekyan and the first deputy head of the State military-technical committee of Belarus Roman Golovchenko. 

“The sides confirmed the mutual interest in the further development of military-technical cooperation, and discussed the progress of implementing the protocol’s points, identified at the first commission meeting,” according to the source.

Defense Ministries of Armenia and Belarus, as well as the other ministries of the both states reached a cooperation agreement. The basic courses for military-technical cooperation were determined at the meeting.

The sides also discussed the prospects for organizing health holidays for military servants of Armenia and Belarus.

The third commission will be held in Minsk in 2013. 

According to Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, the representatives of the Belarus delegation have also visited military-industrial complex enterprises in Armenia.  -0-
