In its extraordinary meeting, the parliament discusses draft amendments in pension law which assume transfer to accumulative pension system. According to the amendments, it is envisaged to introduce accumulative system for the employees born in 1974 and later.

The remaining part of population, particularly unemployed will be out of proposed changes. It will bring to serious demographic problems as for giving birth to a child, the woman will have to temporary refuse accumulation of pension.

All employees, self-employed and farmers under 40 can use accumulative pension system from 2014. Employees will pay 5% of the salary to the pension account and 5% but not more than 25 thousand drams will pay the State. Potential pensioners can choose a manager of accumulated assets which will invest money in local and foreign securities.--0--
