About 280 prisoners released in amnesty in Armenia

Some 278 prisoners have been released in Armenia in amnesty declared on the 22nd anniversary of the independence, press office of penitentiary department of the ministry of justice reported.

YEREVAN, October 9. /ARKA/. Some 278 prisoners have been released in Armenia in amnesty declared on the 22nd anniversary of the independence, press office of penitentiary department of the ministry of justice reported.
According to the report, 42 prisoners were released from Nubarashen correctional institution, 31 from “Artik”, 11 from “Vanadzro”, 12 from “Goris”, 23 from “Erebuni”, 36 from “Sevan”, 1 from “Yerevan-Kentron”, 57 from “Kosh”, 33 from “Vardashen”, 7 from Convicts’ hospital, 14 from “Hrazdan” and 11 from “Abovyan”, including 10 women and one underaged.
The previous amnesty was declared in Armenia in 2011 on the 20th anniversary of the independence.–0--
