YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's State Committee for Protection of Economic Competition decided Monday to take administrative proceedings against a number of egg-producing companies, the committee's press office reports.
Earlier, the antitrust agency has conducted a monitoring in the egg market. As a result, 54,000 eggs with expired shelf life were destroyed. Before that, it has become known that egg prices have dropped in Armenia.
The monitoring showed that the price-making policy pursued by some economic entities engaged in egg production carries potential illegality, particularly abuse of market dominance or competition-hindering collusions.
The antitrust agency decided to take administrative proceedings against Variant Group LLC, Lusakert LLC, Lusakerti Elit LLC, Gntunik LLC, Ashtarak Dzu LLC, Arzni Pedigree Poultry-Swine-Cattle OJSC and Araks Poultry Farm CJSC. -0---
