YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Armenia reaffirms its commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation within the EAEU, stated Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

"In the interests of ensuring economic stability and sustainable development of our countries and the region as a whole, the Republic of Armenia intends to continue to participate in the Union's work in good faith based on mutual respect, equal partnership, and consideration of the national interests of all EAEU member states," Grigoryan said, speaking at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana on Friday.

According to him, the liberalization of trade and services remains one of the main drivers of deepening economic integration within the EAEU. At the same time, certain aspects of national regulation still require more practical harmonization.

This, Grigoryan noted, will create additional opportunities for strengthening cooperation between EAEU member states, increasing the predictability and transparency of regulatory mechanisms, and creating a favorable environment for business.

"An important area of cooperation within the EAEU is also the diversification of trade and economic ties with third countries. One of the key factors in this development is the diversification of transport links, which will provide a significant boost to trade turnover," he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Armenia attaches great importance to developing cooperation in the agricultural sector and welcomes the signing of a protocol extending financial support mechanisms for cooperation projects to the agricultural sector.
