AMD 606mln allocated from Armenia's state budget in 2024 to provide housing to families with children
YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. The Armenian government today approved a decision on allocation of 606 million drams in 2024 for providing housing for families with children.
The decision is aimed at supporting the state program designed for 2024-2026 to provide housing for families with children, as well as lump-sum monetary assistance (mortgage assistance in regions), assistance to citizens applying to banks or credit organizations that have concluded agreements with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
As of April 1, 2024, about 395 beneficiaries received assistance, of which 69 beneficiaries received lump sum cash assistance (total AMD 65.3 million), 104 beneficiaries received assistance under the advance insurance program (AMD 4.3 million), 222 beneficiaries received assistance under the birth support program (AMD 236.6 million).
The government's decision is aimed at improving the demographic situation and stimulating the birth rate. It was extended till 2026. I -0--
