Ameriabank’s bike race promotes healthy lifestyle in Armenia

Opening of first parking areas for bikes in Yerevan was marked by a bike race Sunday, says the press office of Armenia’s Ameriabank that organized the race entitled “Green Way” at 15:00 on April 27 to promote healthy lifestyle and “green” road traffic.
YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. Opening of first parking areas for bikes in Yerevan was marked by a bike race Sunday, says the press office of Armenia’s Ameriabank that organized the race entitled “Green Way” at 15:00 on April 27 to promote healthy lifestyle and “green” road traffic.
First parking areas for bikes were opened – ten of them in the center of Yerevan and eight in other towns - as part of the race.
The race was held together with Orange Fitness and My Bike, DreamShots, as well as the federation of amateur bike sport and bike tourism.
It was an important event for all Yerevan residents, according to head of development at Ameriabank Tigran Jrbashyan. Bike parking areas will help develop the respective infrastructures to make the city ecologically cleaner and modern, Jrbashyan said.
About 300 people applied to participate in the bike ride.
