The Armenian government has approved today a proposal to amend the draft grant agreement on “RESILAND: Armenia's Sustainable Landscapes Program” implemented jointly with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, part of the World Bank) and the International Development Association (IDA, a WB unit).

YEREVAN, March 20. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a proposal to amend the draft grant agreement on “RESILAND: Armenia's Sustainable Landscapes Program” implemented jointly with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, part of the World Bank) and the International Development Association (IDA, a WB unit).

The total budget of the program is $9.1 million. The agreement aims to implement the Armenian government's environmental commitments to preserve biodiversity, rehabilitate abandoned and orphaned mountain areas, reforest and regulate the relevant legislative framework.

The Climate and Development Report of Armenia, which is being developed by the WB in cooperation with the Government of Armenia, as well as the Green Armenia Platform and the Green, Sustainable and Inclusive Development Policy of Armenia is aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting adaptation to climate change.-0-
