Armenia bans replenishment of bookmakers' accounts from other people's accounts
YEREVAN, October 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's Parliament has passed today in the second and final reading a legislative initiative designed by a pro-government MP Gevorg Papoyan, which introduces restrictions on topping up balance on the accounts of bookmakers' and Internet money earning games.
In particular, the balance can be replenished only from bank accounts belonging to account holders; the legislation bans cash replenishments as well.
Users who do not have bank accounts or have other restrictions will not be able to play online money earning games and make bets.
Between the first and second reading the initiative was amended to exempt non-citizens from these restrictions. The amendment will come into force from April 1, 2024. --0--
