YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. In 2019, Armenia received 8.6 billion drams as targeted grants from the EU, down from the originally planned 28.1 billion drams, Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan said today.

He said the government also received 4.451 billion drams of non-targeted grants to support the budget.

He said some of the projects that were to be financed by EU grants were implemented in full and others  were implemented to varying degrees.  The minister said that project execution rate in 2019 was much lower than budgeted.

According to him, there is no one universal reason for explaining the degree of execution of all projects. He emphasized that what he meant was not lack of funds, but the degree of implementation of the projects.

"The funds provided for targeted programs are available and will be provided depending on the extent of  progress made in project implementation," Janjughazyan said.($1 - 481.03 drams). -0-
