YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. Armenia’s draft budget for 2024 will earmark 30 billion drams as pensions and benefits to be paid next year to refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said during the discussion of the budget today.

Hovhannisyan noted that the current version of the draft budget does not have a separate item concerning the payments to the refugees as it had been approved by the government before the mass exodus of the ethnic Armenian population from Nagorno-Karabakh following Azerbaijan’s massive offensive.

Hovhannisyan said relevant changes will be made to the budget during the second and final reading

Armenian government’s growth projection for next year is 7%. The draft budget calls for 2 trillion 676 billion drams in revenue and 3 trillion 108 billion drams in spending.

Compared to 2018, budget revenues are to soar by about 1 trillion 367 billion drams or by 105%, and compared to 2023, by 13.1%. ($1 - AMD 402.26). --0—
