Armenia signs contract with Russia to repair and modernize its Su-25 strike aircraft

The Armenian Defense Ministry and the United Aircraft Corporation of Russia have signed a contract for the modernization and repair of the Su-25 of the Armenian Armed Forces, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/. The Armenian Defense Ministry and the United Aircraft Corporation of Russia have signed a contract for the modernization and repair of the Su-25 of the Armenian Armed Forces, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
According to the ministry’s press release, the contract has been signed by Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Makar Ghambaryan and Deputy General Director for Sales and Marketing of the United Aircraft Corporation Ilya Tarasenko.
It is reported that the agreement, signed as part of the Army-2020 events, confirms the competence of the United Aircraft Building Company to modernize aviation equipment and maintain the full life cycle of previously released aircrafts.
The armored fighter Su-25 has been produced in the USSR since the mid-70s. last century and is intended for direct support of ground forces over the battlefield day and night with direct visibility of the target, as well as the destruction of objects with specified coordinates around the clock in any weather conditions. -0-
