YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan commented today on the document sent recently on his behalf and on the behalf of Vice Premier Mher Grigoryan to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The comment came as response to Arpine Hovhannisyan, former speaker of the parliament and former justice minister, who has posted this document on her Facebook page pointing out the following words in it: “Even if 10,000 public servants who create no added value will become jobless, the Armenian statehood and public at large will benefit from that.”
“We have never tried to hide something – there are no secrets and it is irrelevant to speak about some revelations,” Janjughazyan answered her on his Facebook page.
“There are no particular figures showing that this very number of public servants’ jobs is to be cut, and it was only said for comparison of such an assumed number of people with the number of people who will gain from that.”
The minister also stressed that this doesn’t apply to those people who produce results by working.
”The document is not aimed at focusing on dismissal – the aim is polar opposite,” he said. “If those who are speaking about that now were more attentive, they would see that this had been included in the government program, which implies optimization for more optimal management.”
Janjughazyan said that the authorities are trying to use the existing resources for receiving a better result.
“I think all should unite around this idea, since, in my opinion, all are interested in the maximally effective use of the budget resources that are generated in our country so hard,” he said.
”We should decide whether we are going to service narrow, personal and group interests or the opposite – to comply with the interests of the majority. It is necessary to make this choice… The best should be selected and it will become possible to demand high-quality services from them.” -0---
