Armenian law-enforcers detain deputy mayors of Goris

YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. Armenian law-enforcement authorities have detained today deputy mayors of Goris Irina Yolyan and Menua Hovsepyan as part of a criminal case being investigated by the Investigative Committee, according to the Facebook page of the southeastern Syunik province.
Also, employees of the Goris city administration Armine Chopchyan and Susanna Sargsyan were detained on charges of embezzlement, according to the Facebook post.
Deputy mayor Menua Hovsepyan is also charged with obstruction of the implementation of the Electoral Code, the work of election commissions and persons participating in the vote.
The mayor of Goris Arush Arushanyan had been arrested earlier and charged of abuse of office, illegal entrepreneurship and arbitrariness. --0--
