The downtown Yerevan will be closed for traffic on Sunday, October 21, when the Armenian capital will be celebrating another anniversary of its establishment 2,800 years ago.

YEREVAN, October 19 /ARKA/. The downtown Yerevan will be closed for traffic on Sunday, October 21, when the Armenian capital will be celebrating another anniversary of its establishment 2,800 years ago.

The police said no parking will be allowed from 7:00 to 24:00  on the Republic Square, as well as on parts of Amiryan, Zakiyan, Nalbandyan, Abovyan, Tumanyan, Tigran Mets, Khanjyan and Vazgen Sargsyan streets, which are the closest to Republic Square. Closed will be also parts of Italy, Lusavorich and Khoreantsi streets.

To ensure the safety of participants in the Yerevan Marathon, from 07:30 to 12:00, will be closed parts of Vardanants,  Alek Manukyan, Isahakyan, Tamanyan, Moskovyan,  Saryan , Mashtots, Leo, Paronyan and Proshyan streets.

On the same day, from 7:00 to 15:00, the Hrazdan Gorge will be closed from Halabyan, Athens and Papazyan streets, as well as the Uruguay Square.

To ensure the safety of participants in the brass band parade from 14:00 to 15:00, traffic will be prohibited on part of Mashtots Avenue from the intersection with Argishti Street.
